Patrick J. McGrath possesses over twenty years of legal experience and has been a partner with the firm since 2005. He has gained the trust of clients during that time across a wide spectrum including individuals, businesses and financial institutions.

Attorney McGrath serves individual clients in litigation matters such as personal injury and auto accident claims where he is an advocate for victims injured through the negligent or intentional conduct of another party. He is also skilled in guiding clients through their most important interactions with the legal system including handling real estate matters, business formation, estate planning as well as estate administration following the death of a loved one. He prides himself on the personal attention he devotes to his clients. He is adept at simplifying legal matters to help clients understand the process and execute common sense, effective legal strategies.

Attorney McGrath also provides a full range of services to businesses, financial institutions, and real estate investors in business and commercial matters. His broad range of experience enables him to provide sound, cost effective advice to his clients facilitating informed business decisions. He routinely litigates on behalf of his clients in the areas of mortgage foreclosure, bankruptcy, creditor’s rights, real estate tax appeals and zoning and land use matters as well as general business disputes such as breach of contract and employment discrimination claims. His dynamic background also allows him to effectively handle transactional work such as document drafting, commercial real estate closings, and purchase and sale of business interests on behalf of these clients.

Mr. McGrath devotes his personal attention to every client, from indigent victims of a motor vehicle collision to sophisticated businesses and financial institutions. He believes that preparation is the key to every successful outcome and works closely with his clients to achieve the most desirable and cost-effective result in each encounter.

Attorney McGrath resides in Watertown with his wife and two sons. He is active in the Greater Waterbury community having served on various non-profit boards. He is currently a Director of Safe Haven of Greater Waterbury, Inc. which provides emergency shelter and comprehensive support services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. He serves as a voting member of the United Way of Greater Waterbury. He devotes considerable time to coaching youth lacrosse and serves as a Director of the Lacrosse Association of Watertown.
